Camp Banksia

Camp Banksia is a modern 148 bed beachside camp and conference centre at Port Sorell.  Nestled into a six hectare bush setting it caters for pre-booked school, sport, community, church, business, and family groups.

There are 22 six birth cabins with bunk beds arranged in clusters of five or six.  Each cluster has its own set of three showers and toilets, all free.   All rooms have electric heating.  Guests need to supply their own pillow and bedding as well as a towel and all toiletries.

As well there is a separate apartment with 2 en-suite rooms (each with a double bed and four bunk beds), a kitchen/dining room plus an extra room with 2 bunk beds.  All bedding, linen & towels are supplied in the apartment. 

The main dining hall and function room is a large sunny building well suited to conferences and seminars.

On site there are playing fields, a canoe pond and sports hall with a half size basketball court (which can be set up for volley ball, net ball, indoor bowls and badminton).

There are additional meeting rooms, an undercover barbecue area and a free laundry.

The camp is adjacent to a popular beach, a cycle way, golf course and nature reserve.  It is a 10 minute walk to local shops and a 15 minute drive to Devonport.
