Elm Wood Classic Bed and Breakfast:
Prior to 2003 it had always been a large house paddock, wedged between the Village Green and the Town Common. The previous owners had grazed their cow, sheep and horses there since the 1820’s when Westbury was a garrison town supplying the cereal farms and flourishing mining operations to the west.
But this is no ordinary paddock – it’s bounded by mature hawthorn hedges and home to a botanical garden’s worth of magnificent 100 year-old European trees!
Then the new owners arrived from WA to build a beautiful home and two cottages in the Victorian style with great attention to detail. These buildings now make up the B&B. Gil and Diana live in the larger cottage and have opened Elm House and Linden Cottage to their guests from around the world.
