Pioneer Cottage

Pioneer Cottage is situated in the heart of historic New Norfolk across the avenue from the delightful Arthur Square and a short stroll to the banks of the Derwent River. Pioneer Cottage is just a hop, a skip and a jump to shops, eateries and amenities, as well as New Norfolk's many and varied antiques shops.

This three bedroom cottage was originally built in 1946 and has been lovingly restored in the style of that era. The rooms are light and airy and the furnishings are cozy and comfortable.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, toaster, electric kettle and microwave oven plus our favourite toy - the espresso/cappuccino machine. And naturally there is a dishwasher - who wants to wash dishes when they are on holiday! The pantry is stocked with oils, vinegars and spices and all the cooking equipment you're ever likely to need.

If you'd rather be outdoors, there's a deck with fabulous views just off the living room complete with gas BBQ and outdoor dining suite. Follow the path to the "Boat Shed", our gazebo where you can relax with some local wine and take in the view.

The large established gardens are fully fenced and there is a vegetable garden and fruit trees - we encourage our guests to eat and enjoy - bon appetit!

The house has a lockup garage with remote and internal access. In the garage are two childrens bicycles and safety gear, as well as a wooden cot, high chair and a stroller.

Everything is here for your comfort and enjoyment - just bring your toothbrush and a change of clothes!
