Post House Cottage is in the heart of the Derwent Valley, situated in Fentonbury just a 15 minute drive from Mount Field National Park. This early cottage has been completely renovated to provide the visitor with all the comforts of home in a rural setting that provides peace and tranquillity. Post House Cottage is set on a small working farm owned by Kathryn and Hans Harth. It has sheep, alpacas, ducks and hens. The cottage is set 100 meters, shielded by gums, form the main house off Gully Road and is completely self contained. It is licensed for and sleeps four people with comfort. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. One large comfortable living area, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Sit on the verandah and enjoy the tranquil views or watch the spectacular displays of birds and wildlife; Kookaburras on the look out for food, small Scarlet Robins playing in the trees, beautiful Wedge Tailed Eagles soaring over Belcher's Point and the many wrens that frequent the area. Also, keep a look out for the more elusive wildlife too, such as the echidnas, wombats and Tasmanian Devils. For the more energetic there is an international sized Boulles (Petanque) court. Boulles are available for hire. The game's rules are available in the cottage information pack. Finish the day with a BBQ in the garden using the gas BBQ provided. |
