The Junction is a clean, value for money 30 room, motel and restaurant situated in the picturesque town of New Norfolk, which is situated 20 minutes from Hobart Tasmania. We are situated at the gateway to the west coast and wilderness national parks.

Our fully licensed, restaurant, headed by local hospitality “tart “, Tim Last specialises in fresh local produce, prepared superbly for breakfast and dinner.
The Junction can also cater any events whether it be a boutique picnic or large ‘fab’ party, in our function centre or off premises as required.

At the Junction we offer a variety of accommodation options, with single, double, twin and family rooms, we even have a self contained family suite that sleeps 4.
Rooms at the Junction have been renovated in the last five years and now all have ensuite bathrooms.

The Food
Tim Last is our Manager / Chef @ the Junction.
Tim is a hospitality “tart ”with a wealth of experience through out Tassie, the Big Island, and overseas as well.
He has catered everybody from HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Frederick and Princess Mary of Denmark to the fellow “Winterer’s” at Davis Base in Antarctica.
Breakfast is a fabulous experience, whether sitting in our bright and sunny restaurant, or out-doors on our patio with beautiful views across the valley, and our Evening Menu utilizes fresh local produce in beautiful unique dishes and yet still has something for everyone.
Catering and Functions
The Junction is a brilliant venue for any function and we are happy to tailor events to suit your needs.
From in house cocktail parties, sit down 3,4,5,6,7 course menus, buffets, morning / afternoon teas or lunch we can help. We are also happy to cater at nearby attractions
eg; Mt Field National Park, Tywald, should that be your desire.
